A Dancer's World invites you to learn more about our studio so you can decide if our classes are right for your family.
General Info
Sometimes, younger children feel shy and uncomfortable for their first class or two and may begin crying when you try to leave. If your child is crying in the classroom, please do not come into the classroom until a teacher comes to get you. Most of the time, the child will stop crying and enjoy his/her dance class. If you immediately come into the classroom, it disrupts the class and may cause your child to never get comfortable with the teacher and their classmates.
Registration Info
Registration for fall classes will be held in August. We accept dancers ages 2 1/2 thru adults. We are located at 13412 Roddy Road in between Hwy 621 and Black Bayou. A $55.00 registration fee is charged per child.
Dress Code
Children ages 2 ½ - 8 can wear any color leotard or dance clothes. Children 9 and over and over MUST wear a black leotard or black booty shorts and a black tank top. NO jean shorts or big t-shirts for any age!!!
Other Info
Your invoice and monthly information will be emailed each month. We will have a parent watch week in December and June. Every family will receive a digital download of the recital. Students may use whatever shoes they have from last year if they still fit. Required shoes for recital MUST be purchased from A Dancer’s World. We sell Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Ballet shoes.
Fees
There are a number of things your child will need to participate successfully in classes and recitals. Here is a breakdown of each type of fee.
Class Payment Information
Tuition is billed on a monthly basis. If you would like to pay a little more each month to help with costumes, recital fee or recital book, that will be fine. Invoices are due the first dance class of each month. If payments are not received at that time, a $10.00 late fee will be added to your account. There is also a $25.00 charge for all NSF fees. Be sure to write your child's name and account number on the bottom of your check. Tuition is $45.00 for the first hour and $40.00 for each additional hour.
Costumes
The cost of costumes is approximately $75.00-$95.00 a piece. A deposit of $80.00 per child is due in October and the balance is due in November. Costumes not paid in full by December 10th will incur a $10.00 late fee per costume, per month. We do have a fundraiser to help with the cost of the costumes. (This is not required) Every child will have a recital t-shirt. The cost of the shirt is $23.00 and will be billed in May.
Recital Book
In the month of January, we start our ad selling contest. Your child can sell ads to get his/her picture in the book or you can pay a fee of $70.00. You will receive more information on this in January.
Recital Fee
The cost of the recital fee is $150.00 for 1 child. A discount will be given for more than one child. 1/2 is due in February and the balance is due in March. The recital is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2024 @ 2:00. Rehearsal- Thursday, June 6, 2024 @ 5:00.

While each student will receive their own calendar to keep track of class schedules and events, A Dancer’s World wants to provide an online resource for parents, friends, and guests who need a reminder about class times and fee due dates.
